Technical Co-Founder,  CreatorCrew

Within just 8 months, CreatorCrew grew to over 100 top-notch video editors and thumbnail designers and successfully exited to thearcove.com. Incubated by Velocity, our team built a powerful hiring platform that enabled creators to expand their content teams with ease.

Accomplishments:

  • Built CreatorCrew from the ground-up, serving as lead developer and implementing platform enhancements such as in-app messaging, SendGrid email invitations, and a contract builder with e-signing functionality.

  • Developed a robust payment infrastructure using Stripe API and OAuth, enabling secure deposit holding, management of creator payment methods, and seamless sending of both one-time and recurring payments to crew Stripe Connect accounts.

  • Integrated Google OAuth for streamlined session management and implemented JWT tokens for enhanced security.

  • Designed and implemented a robust CRUD model for our API, enabling seamless management of account permissions for diverse user groups such as non-authorized users, admins, creators, and crew

Full Stack Web Engineer Intern,  Tradable Bits

Tradable Bits is a fan engagement platform for sports and entertainment brands. The platform has processed millions of fan interactions and is used by brands such as the Leafs, Spurs and Lolapalooza.

Accomplishments:

  • Redeveloped external integrations by using 30+ APIs, including Salesforce, Mailchimp, Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, and FrontGate Ticketing while adding robust testing and connection capabilities for seamless integration with the rest of the Tradable Bits platform

  • Integrated Square OAuth into platform and used Python Celery to to refresh the Square access token weekly

  • Used Hubspot's API to sync fan data from Tradable Bits to Hubspot through a daily task on celery

  • Designed and developed wifi splash page for BC Place used by 100,000s of Vancouver Whitecaps, BC Lions fans and concert-goers every year

ChangeRoom connects the vast array of sustainable clothing brands with the growing number of eco-conscious customers through our mobile app. Our marketplace not only allows customers to shop vetted apparel based on their sustainable values but also provides intelligent e-commerce features like apparel recommendations. With our Shopify integration, brand owners can onboard onto our marketplace seamlessly in just minutes.

Accomplishments:

  • Onboarded 15 sustainable fashion brands and 500 users across Canada

  • Launched and maintained a 5 star review on the Apple and Google Play Stores from 70+ reviews

  • Built a Shopify integration to onboard brands onto our marketplace in minutes

  • Designed and created entire mobile marketplace with team

  • Raised over $12k in capital from Velocity, Greenhouse, Invest Ottawa, University of Waterloo

  • Won 1st place at the University of Waterloo's Velocity Fund Finals from a pool of 100+ startups
